Heart health and diabetes

A growing concern in Australia is the rising incidence of obesity in the young population. Up to 8% of Australian schoolchildren 16 years old and younger are obese, which puts these people at higher risk of adult obesity, heart disease and metabolic disorders like diabetes.

Our team is interested in examining the relationship between physical activity in young women, with societal, environmental, familial and individual factors, including mental health and other disease.
